“ Well, that'll be the day, when you say goodbye...Yes, that'll be the day, when you make me cry”
Buddy is the musical celebration of the rock and roll legend Buddy Holly, who rose to stardom in 1957 and tragically died in a plane crash 1959. In his two year stretch at the top he gave the world some of the most memorable rock and roll songs known to date and many claim his death was the day rock and roll died.

The musical looks at Buddy's rise to fame and how he became a household name overnight. Holly started out as a Country & Western singer with his friends "The Crickets", after befriending a local radio Dj "Buddy and The Crickets" started to weave their way into the industry. After catching the eye of innovative record producer Norman Petty and signing contracts, Buddy and The Crickets recorded their biggest hit "That'll Be The Day" which propelled them up the charts and ensured that they were the hottest act in music industry. Buddy's whirlwind story begins from here, within the two years he is married, split from the band, pursuing a solo career, tours the mid-west and breaks his pregnant wife's promise not to fly by boarding the plane in which he tragically crashed in.
